The primitive natural landscape is reminiscent of the Land of Peach Blossoms (earthly paradise), and the fairyland of abode of immortals in a Chinese fable. The strong colonial atmosphere gives you the feeling of being mistaken, as if the time is winding back. The pure air, water and environment produce excellent wine, delicious seafood and agricultural products.
Tasmania differs from other hot Australian travel spots. Tasmania’s special tourism features can be generalized as: beautiful natural scenery, the feeling of going back in time to the colonial era, colonial architecture and specialized produce.
Exquisite natural scenery
Many Chinese visitors to Australia only knew of Darling Harbor and the Opera House in Sydney, the Penguin Island and the Twelve Apostles in Victoria, the Gold Coast and the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. Few people realize that there are many more beautiful and worthwhile tourist attractions in Tasmania.
From Sandy Bay in Hobart, views of the mountain, water, the blue sky and countless white sails are relaxing, indulging in pleasure enticing so that you forget to go home. Along the east coast, you see exquisite and fascinating landscapes with rich hues. At Coles Bay, views coming into your eyes include blue Ocean, white beaches and colorful rock, which gives you the feeling of flying in the fairyland of abode of the immortals. Wineglass Bay, which is one of the world’s ten most beautiful bays, Its beauty is almost indescribable.
Tasmanian national parks are spectacular. Cradle Mountain and Gorden River contain innumerable fairyland-like places that visitors to the state love to see. At the top of the Tasmanian World Heritage Area is Cradle Mountain where the scenes of lakes and mountains have a unique beauty. The beautiful Cradle Mountain is reflected in the quiet Dove Lake, the fresh, cool streams cuts through the jade-green forest airily, and the old trees stand quietly by the lake, only occasionally a few clear and crisp birds' twitter to wake you fiercely from a dream like state and make you aware that you are not in a huge drew...
The time winds back
As the political, economic and cultural center of Tasmania, Hobart seems to have few aspects of modernization in comparison with other provincial capital cities in western developed society. There are no tall buildings, wide highways, international airport and five stars hotel. However in Tasmania you can always feel serene, comfortable and ease, leisure, fresh and beauty. Coming to Tasmania it is as if you are stepping into a place that has changed very little in the last century, as the Land of Peach Blossoms (earthly paradise) described in a Chinese story。
Taking a stroll along the street in Hobart, you will find colonial buildings in the downtown vicinity. Walking into Hobart is almost as if you are visiting an architectural museum, and the wooden handicrafts in the stores, made from the ancient Huon pine, show thousand years’ history of these trees with their clear annual rings.
In Australia’s famous historic town Richmond, when you see the orderly streets, the oldest stone bridge in Australia and the oldest church in Australia, you feel as if you have stepped back in time by 200 years .
Colonial Architecture
Hobart is said to be a city with the most English style and features. Apart from Hobart, most cities and towns in Tasmania also have a strong English style and features. Early English immigrants to Tasmania built these towns on the other side of the world far from England according to their memory and perhaps to relieve their homesickness. There are many buildings with English styles of the 19th century, such as the Victorian era and Georgion era … Hence Tasmania is like a gallery of English buildings from the 19th century. These buildings and towns copied from England gives the impression that England is just in front of you. Visiting Tasmania is like being in another place in another era.
Superb food and world class wine
Tasmania’s fresh air, pure water and rich land, in addition to the use of restricted agrochemicals means that marine and agricultural products are clean and have excellent nourishment value. If you visited Tasmania but failed to eat up lobster, abalone, oyster and salmon, you would like to regret it. Similarly, if you have not tasted apples produced in Tasmania, you should not appreciate the significance of ‘apple isles’.
Cool weather, rich land, abundant grape cultivation combined with advanced wine technique has yielded Tasmania’s red and white wine, vintage wine and vapor wine in different varieties, including the famous Chardonnay, Pinot, Riesling, Cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc and Semillions etc.. In the International Wine Exhibition 2000 in Hong Kong and 2002 in Sydney, Tasmania’s cool climate wines were awarded 2 gold medals with some silver medals. With such world class wines in before you, can you resist tasting them?
The jade-green and rich steppe with its mild weather produces outstanding of red meat, butter, cheese and other products.
