Introduction to CTEC

Tasmania possesses a very  abundant tourism resource
. It is a world-famous tourism destination. Tasmania ranked as the fifth best destination of the world in 2003-2004. This has been attracting more   and more Chinese visitors to Tasmania.

The Chinese Tourism and Education Centre (CTEC) was established and registered in 2004 by Dr Simon Yang. The establishment of CTEC has received great help and encouragement from Tourism Tasmania, especially the International Sales and Marketing Executive.  In year 2004-2005, CTEC was selected  to participate in  the New Enterprise Increment Scheme (NEIS) and was supported and supervised by the Australian Commonwealth Government.

CTEC is an accredited member of the tourism and transport in Tasmania.

Although CTEC was formally registered in early 2004, our staff  have more than 10 years experience in tourism and the cultural aspects of Tasmania.  Most of our staff have served our tourism services in Tasmania for 10 years (since 1998) and obtained rich experience by providing Chinese tour guiding for people with Chinese backgrounds, including tourists from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan, USA, Australia and other Asian countries.  We have established  business cooperative relationships with many travel agencies on mainland Australia and China. Our tourism service has been highly appreciated by both travel agents and visitors.
